Thank you so much, Fabrice, for this morning under the magical light at Hossegor Lake, where I was able to admire herons and egrets through the spotting scope during the breeding season, a magnificent soaring great black-backed gull, and various small waders such as plovers, greenshanks, dunlins, and turnstones.
Fabrice is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and precise in his explanations, and his advice is invaluable for identifying species. He is very kind and adapts to our level of knowledge and expectations. A passionate and learned ornithologist who invites us to observe birds closely. For me, an absolute delight!

Discovering the Barthes with Fabrice.
After some explanations about the habitat we were in, it was time for observations. The first sighting was a white kite, followed by several booted eagles, black and red kites, common buzzards, honey buzzards, and many water birds (spoonbills, sandpipers, ibises, plovers…), ending with a magnificent flight of white storks accompanied by three black storks.
A big thank you to Fabrice for sharing his knowledge and good humor.
Definitely worth doing again!

We wanted to get introduced to birdwatching, and we were delighted! Two full hours with Fabrice will open the doors to this little-known world (at least for us). He is an excellent teacher and takes the time to really challenge us to distinguish between species. He also provides the necessary equipment and spots all kinds of curiosities on the ground and in the air. We’ll never see Hossegor Lake the same way again! Thank you, Fabrice. My first short discovery outing with a guide on the shores of Hossegor Lake on a beautiful February morning.
No regrets! Fabrice, our guide, is an expert in his field and enabled us to make some wonderful observations – terns, black-headed gulls, gulls, turnstones, egrets, waders, great cormorants… all were there.
I’ll definitely do it again, here or at other sites.
